Oh Deer! It's time to Add Comprehensive Coverage to my Auto Insurance Policy!

Did you know that the months with the three most dear involved accidents occur in the month of October, November and December?  October ranks second of all months for deer related crashes. November ranks first, and December ranks third.


      Once you've owned a vehicle for quite a while, a vehicle goes through a certain lifestyle stage. When you buy it and finance it, you are required to carry comprehensive and collision coverage until the loan is paid off. But after that, then it becomes an option. Another thing I want to point out is that my particular area of Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Virginia all have higher rates of deer incidents as compared to the rest of the country. In fact, West Virginia ranks number one in the country in terms of having the highest probability of a deer claim.
